Energica has just announced a technical collaboration for high-tech electric watercraft production. The Italian maker of electric bikes is teaming up with Italian maritime start-ups.
Energica described the company as “an innovative startup that has revolutionized the world of naval propulsion with its own DeepSpeed electric jet.”
Today, the two companies will work together to create an electric powertrain for marine applications.
While the Energica model range currently comprises exclusively of high-speed and high-power electric motorcycles with a racing history, Energica should produce even smaller, lower-powered electric two-wheelers as part of a recent collaboration announcement.
